Basketball Game Preview: John Battle Trojans vs. Lee Generals

John Battle and Lee are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The John Battle Trojans will host the Lee Generals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, John Battle ended up a good deal behind Abingdon and lost 55-36. The match marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lee hadn't done well against Gate City recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Lee walked away with a 60-49 victory over Gate City. The win was some much needed relief for the Generals as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

John Battle has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points per game. As for Lee, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

John Battle was able to grind out a solid win over Lee in their previous meeting back in January, winning 66-57. Will John Battle repeat their success, or does Lee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
