The Basha Bears will challenge the Casteel Colts at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Basha is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Basha took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They skirted past Perry 8-7. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Pumas recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Brie Fynan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Makaila Quinney, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Vaeh Luna, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, Casteel came up short against Desert Vista on Monday and fell 12-7.

Jordin Branch made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was her first of the season. Paige Fuller was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Casteel has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. Basha's win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Casteel's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Basha has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. It's a different story for Casteel, though, as they've only averaged .362. Will they be able to contain Basha's hitters?

Everything went Basha's way against Casteel in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Basha made off with an 18-0 victory. Will Basha repeat their success, or does Casteel has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
