After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Palisades, University was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Los Angeles CES Unicorns by a score of 6-3. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Unicorns back in April, they had to take a 12-5 defeat.

Kayla Anzora made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Ditagi Smith was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Sharlyn Mendoza was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
