Soccer Recap: Charleston Takes a Loss

Charleston lost against Centralia back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Charleston fell just short of Centralia by a score of 1-0. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Charleston couldn't quite close it out.

Charleston is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Centralia, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0-1.

Coming up, Charleston will be playing in front of their home fans against Richland County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centralia, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-2 draw against Pinckneyville on the 31st.
