Football Game Preview: Sutherlin Bulldogs vs. Coquille Red Devils + How To Watch

The Sutherlin Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Coquille Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Sutherlin nor Coquille posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Sutherlin will head out to face Coquille after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. The Bulldogs were dealt a 45-8 defeat at the hands of Siuslaw. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Eden Cardoza and Will Johnson. Johnson had a great game and rushed for 123 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries. Meanwhile, Cardoza was balling out in the loss, rushing for 115 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, while also picking up 44 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Coquille played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Douglas, falling 35-8. That makes it the first time this season the Red Devils have let down their home crowd.

Sutherlin's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Coquille, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

Sutherlin skirted past Coquille 14-12 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
