Osawatomie hadn't done well against Iola recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Trojans narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mustangs 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since September 4th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Osawatomie who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 18-25, 25-12.

The win made it two in a row for Osawatomie and bumps their season record up to 6-11. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 4-16 Iola and 5-14 Prairie View. As for Iola, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Coming up, Osawatomie will welcome Wellsville on Tuesday. As for Iola, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 0-0 draw against Prairie View on the 30th.
