Football Game Preview: Cloverdale Clovers vs. Clinton Central Bulldogs

Two dominant backs in Keshaun Taylor and Amrin Barrett are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Cloverdale Clovers will be playing at home against the Clinton Central Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cloverdale had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least 31 points, but South Putnam put an end to it on Friday. The Clovers took a blow against the Eagles, falling 43-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Clovers were not able to get on the board.

Clinton Central played against Tri-Central on Friday and won via forfeit.

The win made it two in a row for Clinton Central and bumps their season record up to 4-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 20 points in those games. As for Cloverdale, they moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
