Wimberley had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Saturday. They came out on top against the Aubrey Chaparrals by a score of 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17.

Addison Parks paced Wimberley's offense, picking up seven kills. Parks got some help from Skylar Herring and her ten assists. Herring also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Trinity Laney, racking up two apiece.

Wimberley's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Aubrey, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wimberley is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Cedar Park at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aubrey, they will venture away from home to square off against Gunter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
