Baseball Recap: James Clemens Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for James Clemens's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Madison Academy Mustangs on Monday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Jets haven't been shut out since back in February.

James Clemens got a good showing from Will Votroubek, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

James Clemens' loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Madison Academy, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

James Clemens and Madison Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. James Clemens (ranked 20th) will meet Florence (ranked 62nd) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Madison Academy will face off against Buckhorn at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 88 places (4 vs. 92).
