 The Nichols Vikings will head out on the road to  take on  the Maryvale Flyers at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
 Nichols' hitters might be in the hot seat  on Saturday considering what happened against St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute  on Thursday. They fell just short of the Marauders by a score of  2-0. Nichols has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Meanwhile, Maryvale put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with  a   6-2  victory over Lake Shore.
  James Rindfleisch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Jameson McNeill, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run and a  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Isaiah Hill, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base, two  RBI,  and a  double.
 Nichols' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Maryvale, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with that  win, which was their fifth straight  at home.
 Nichols took their  victory against Maryvale  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023 by a conclusive  12-2. Does  Nichols have another victory up their sleeve, or will Maryvale turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
