Beardstown had to settle for second on Wednesday, but Colby Desollar sure wasn't going down easily. Desollar pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits, which was good enough to set a new career-low in hits.

Looking ahead, Desollar and Beardstown will challenge Cuba/Spoon River Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers haven't beaten the Wildcats recently, having gone 0-4 since April of 2015.
