California Academy of Math & Science has gone a perfect 5-0 against Geffen Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:00 p.m. Geffen Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on California Academy of Math & Science, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, California Academy of Math & Science was able to grind out a solid victory over Vistamar, taking the game 3-1. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

California Academy of Math & Science walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 24-26, 25-23, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Geffen Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch last Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Hawthorne Math & Science Academy.

Geffen Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 25-23.

Geffen Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for California Academy of Math & Science, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.

California Academy of Math & Science took their victory against Geffen Academy in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Coyotes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
