Randallstown had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Poly Engineers 5-3. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chris Ross spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Chris Mcleod was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. Terrence Venable was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Randallstown's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Poly, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Randallstown will welcome Western Tech & Environmental Science at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Poly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
