Reidsville extended their postseason success on Friday against Eastern Wayne. They enjoyed a cozy 41-24 win over the Warriors. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won nine games in a row.

Michael Smith was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 209 yards and one touchdown while picking up 12.3 yards per carry. Those 209 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Reidsville didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Eastern Wayne to a completion percentage of just 50%. The team can thank Jorden Robinson for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Reidsville; they were averaging 64.1%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've fallen to only 64.1%.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 17 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Dionte Neal, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from him.

When it comes to explaining why Eastern Wayne lost, don't look at Izeiah Oates. Despite the final result, he threw for 275 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 32 yards and one score. Tykel Battle was in the mix too, providing the Warriors with one touchdown.

Reidsville's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Eastern Wayne, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Reidsville will take on Central Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Rams 14.8, the Spartans 11.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Eastern Wayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
