Baseball Recap: Vanguard College Prep Takes a Loss

Vanguard College Prep lost against Round Rock Christian Academy back in April of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Vanguard College Prep came up short against Round Rock Christian Academy, falling 13-6. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Henry Whitt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-4. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Braylen Schupbach also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Vanguard College Prep's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-3. As for Round Rock Christian Academy, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-8.

While Vanguard College Prep had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
