Kennedy Catholic won the last time they faced Cardinal Spellman and things went their way on Thursday too. The Kennedy Catholic Gaels blew past the Cardinal Spellman Pilots 62-26. Given the Gaels' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Pilots are ranked 340th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Kennedy Catholic to victory were Reese Carlo and Ava Bryant. Carlo posted 17 points, while Bryant put up 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Arrigale, who scored eight points.

Kennedy Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games.
