Matanzas won the last time they faced Seabreeze and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pirates came out on top against the Sandcrabs by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 12-25, 25-12, 25-21.

Sanigh Arneaud paced Matanzas' offense, picking up 18 kills. Arneaud got some help from Analise Smith and her 25 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Matanzas' win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Seabreeze, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Looking ahead, Matanzas will take on St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seabreeze, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Pine Ridge on the 15th.
