Basketball Recap: Boynton Beach Triumphs

Boynton Beach won the last time they faced Wellington and things went their way on Thursday too. The Boynton Beach Tigers came out on top against the Wellington Wolverines by a score of 41-34.

Boynton Beach can attribute much of their success to Delylah Gainza, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Lane Lockhart, who scored nine points.

Wellington's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Erianna Perez, who had six points and six rebounds. Rebecca Vital was another key player, putting up 11 points.

The victory got Boynton Beach back to even at 7-7. As for Wellington, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Boynton Beach Tigers challenge the Dwyer Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wellington, they will take on Palm Beach Lakes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
