Football Recap: Berkeley Comes Up Short

Berkeley fell victim to Castro Valley and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 13-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

The critical scores for Castro Valley came from Jazlyne Reyes-Neil and Erikka Flores.

Berkeley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Castro Valley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Berkeley will venture away from home to square off against Redwood at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Castro Valley, they will square off against Amador Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Trojans 4.8, the Dons 11.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
