Recap: Park View Patriots vs. Warren County Wildcats
The Park View Patriots have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 44-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Warren County. That's two games in a row now that Park View has lost by exactly six points.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anna Helstrom, who almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists. The match was Helstrom's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Carly Earnhart was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Park View has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season. As for Warren County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Park View will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Osbourn at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. As for Warren County, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Fauquier at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st.
