Softball Game Preview: Lawndale Cardinals vs. Leuzinger Olympians

For the second straight game, Lawndale will face off against Leuzinger. The Cardinals will host the Olympians at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lawndale has given up an average of 13.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lawndale had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Leuzinger put an end to it on Tuesday. The Cardinals lost 11-1 to the Olympians. The Cardinals have struggled against the Olympians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Emely Garcia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Darryn Dean, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

Lawndale's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Leuzinger, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.
