Recap: Countryside Christian Minutemen vs. Aucilla Christian Warriors
This season hasn't been kind to the Countryside Christian Minutemen, who are still winless after their sixth match. They were beaten by Aucilla Christian 52-25 on Tuesday. Countryside Christian lost against Aucilla Christian in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 50-49 score last time.
Ethan Bass was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with six steals for Aucilla Christian. That makes it six consecutive games in which Bass has scored at least 25% of Aucilla Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Conrad, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Countryside Christian bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Aucilla Christian, the win got them back to even at 3-3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Countryside Christian will square off against Branford at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Branford's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Aucilla Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Altha at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Altha is ranked 626th, while Aucilla Christian is ranked 617th).
