Soccer Game Preview: Independence vs. Center Point-Urbana

Independence is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Center Point-Urbana is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Mustangs will host the Stormin' Pointers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Independence's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Williamsburg with a sharp 10-0 victory. Give Independence's defense some credit: that's the team's ninth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Center Point-Urbana got the win against West Delaware on Tuesday by a conclusive 10-0. Center Point-Urbana haven't had any issues with West Delaware recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Center Point-Urbana's victory bumped their record up to 11-3-1. As for Independence, their win bumped their record up to 12-1-1.
