Baseball Game Preview: Splendora Wildcats vs. Kingwood Park Panthers

For the second straight game, Splendora will face off against Kingwood Park. The Wildcats will challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Splendora is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Splendora duked it out with Kingwood Park on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 18-1.

Splendora saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Brewer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Chance Boehm also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Kingwood Park is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Splendora, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12.
