It was a good run, but Riverside Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Monday. They lost to the Franklin Road Christian Minutemen on the road by a 56-38 margin. Riverside Christian Academy was down 50-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Franklin Road Christian found their leader in freshman Lakelyn Dempsey, who went 5 for 9 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Dempsey has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryleigh Dempsey, who posted nine points and five boards.

Riverside Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Franklin Road Christian, their win bumped their record up to 19-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside Christian Academy has already played their next match (against Boyd Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Franklin Road Christian will head out on the road to square off against Zion Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
