Softball Game Preview: Hillcrest Knights vs. Rigby Trojans

Hillcrest is 0-10 against Rigby since March of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Knights will face off against the Trojans at 3:30 p.m.

On Friday, Hillcrest came up short against Highland and fell 10-7. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Rigby ultimately got the result they hoped for last Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Madison 10-9. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Rigby got a massive performance out of Madison Jensen, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Jensen has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Cox, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Rigby's record is now 5-3. As for Hillcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Hillcrest couldn't quite get it done against Rigby when the teams last played back in March of 2022 as they fell 13-10. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
