Salpointe Catholic is a perfect 10-0 against Sahuaro since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Salpointe Catholic is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: North Branch, who was ranked 21st in their home state at the time (Salpointe Catholic was ranked 16th). The Lancers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Broncos on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lancers as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Among those leading the charge was Nicole Monge, who had 17 digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last eight matches.

Sahuaro not only won last Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 8th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Cholla with a sharp 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Sahuaro was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-7, 25-10.

Salpointe Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Sahuaro, their win bumped their record up to 9-17.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: Salpointe Catholic has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8 aces per game. However, it's not like Sahuaro struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
