Baseball Recap: Millburn Beats Somerville for Their Second Straight Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Millburn had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They didn't even let the Somerville Pioneers on the board, marking their second-straight 1-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Millers.

Millburn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keigo Fujita, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Millburn's victory bumped their record up to 14-15. As for Somerville, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.

Millburn will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West Essex at 4:00 p.m. on December 23, 2027. Somerville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
