Softball Recap: Liberty Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Liberty duked it out with Coconino on Saturday. The Lions blew past the Panthers 13-5. Fans of the Lions have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

The victory (which was Liberty's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average this season. As for Coconino, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Liberty didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-4 victory against Boulder Creek on the 28th. As for Coconino, they have also already played their next game, a 9-0 loss against Paradise Honors on the 3rd.
