Lake Fenton picks up 15th straight win on the road

The Lake Fenton Blue Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Brandon, posting a 92-43 win on the road. Lake Fenton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 24 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Savannah "sj" fellenbaum, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Ella Prevost was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Brandon lost, one person who can't be blamed is Riley Abney. Despite the final result, she scored 30 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 69.8% of Brandon's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ella Rizzo, who scored six points.

Brandon struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lake Fenton racked up 28 assists.

Lake Fenton pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.8 points. As for Brandon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Lake Fenton will be playing at home against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fenton comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Brandon, they will head out on the road to square off against the Martians at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Goodrich will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
