Basketball Recap: Crosspoint Christian Takes a Loss

Crosspoint Christian lost against Eagle Ridge Christian back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Crosspoint Christian were outmatched by the Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles and fell 53-24. Crosspoint Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Crosspoint Christian lost, don't look at Bekah Petry. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Petry has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more boards the last four times she's played.

Even though they lost, Crosspoint Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. This was only their 11th loss (out of 14 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

Crosspoint Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Eagle Ridge Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Crosspoint Christian and Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis will face off at 10:30 a.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Eagle Ridge Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
