Basketball Recap: State Line HomeSchool R Comes Up Short

State Line HomeSchool R lost against South Guilford HomeSchool last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The State Line HomeSchool R Rush might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars an easy 82-57 victory. While losing is never fun, the Rush can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 171st in Virginia, while the Cougars are ranked 26th in North Carolina).

South Guilford HomeSchool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isa Bosch led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Bosch a new career-high in boards. Kassidy Bullins was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards.

State Line HomeSchool R now has a losing record at 4-5. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, the win keeps them at an undefeated 19-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. State Line HomeSchool R will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Surry HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. After both having extra time off, South Guilford HomeSchool and South Wake will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. South Wake will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something South Guilford HomeSchool surely won't give up without a fight.
