Volleyball Recap: Walnut Ridge Comes Up Short at Home Against Salem

Walnut Ridge unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Salem Greyhounds by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Greyhounds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Walnut Ridge sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 17-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-11.

Walnut Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Newport on the 28th. As for Salem, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Valley Springs on the 26th.
