Baseball Recap: Mccutcheon Beats Lebanon for Their Third Straight Win

McCutcheon waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lebanon Tigers an 11-0 shutout.

Jon Riley was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. McCutcheon is undefeated when Riley posts three or more RBI, but 7-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Zayne Newgent, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

McCutcheon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lebanon only posted an OBP of .250.

McCutcheon now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Lebanon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McCutcheon will venture away from home to face off against Seeger at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mavericks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Lebanon, they will head out on the road to take on Danville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
