Football Recap: Academy of the New Church Victorious

The Academy of the New Church Lions earned a 28-20 win over the Delaware County Christian Knights on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Delaware County Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Bartkow, who threw for 199 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 66 yards. 96 of Bartkow's passing yards were hauled in by Ian Pruessner, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Academy of the New Church's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Delaware County Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Academy of the New Church wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 41-16 loss against Executive Education Academy Charter School on the 25th. As for Delaware County Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 30-6 win against Montrose on the 24th.
