Dobie dropped their record down to 16-12 on Friday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Manvel Mavericks by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Longhorns have suffered since March 29th.

Dobie saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Sanchez, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

As for Manvel, the victory got them back to even at 12-12. The win was some much needed relief for they as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

On Manvel's side, Jesus Merlo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. Merlo also tossed no walks, which is notable because the Mavericks are 4-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 8-10 otherwise.

As of now, neither Dobie nor Manvel have any future games scheduled.
