Volleyball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield was the 3-0 winner over Wayne when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Thursday.

Danica Finney paced Springfield's offense, picking up 13 kills. Finney got some help from Taylor Clausen and her 25 assists. Finney was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Springfield's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Springfield will head out to square off against Fairborn at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wayne, they will challenge Carroll at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
