Basketball Recap: Humphreys County Takes a Loss

Humphreys County lost against Greenville back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cowboys fell 50-46 to the Hornets. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Demarion Gibson produced another solid performance shooting 62% from the field en route to 19 points for Greenville. The matchup was Gibson's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Marcus Peoples was another key player, putting up six points along with eight rebounds and five blocks.

Humphreys County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Greenville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Humphreys County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Leake County at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Greenville, they will take on Amanda Elzy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
