Softball Recap: Edgewood Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Edgewood put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Eustace a 13-0 shutout. Considering Edgewood has won nine games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Edgewood pushed their record up to 19-8-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Eustace, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Edgewood and Eustace will both be playing Quitman the next time they take the field. Edgewood will host Quitman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Eustace will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
