Volleyball Recap: Foley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Foley lost against Daphne on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans.

Foley may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 11 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11.

Daphne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Makenzie Valentine led the charge by getting four digs and four aces. Ava Aurich also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Foley has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Daphne, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Foley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Bayside Academy on the 16th. As for Daphne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against St. Michael Catholic on the 16th.
