It was a good run, but Fort Zumwalt East unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 3-0 to the Parkway West Longhorns. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2015.

Fort Zumwalt East's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Parkway West, they moved to 3-11 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Fort Zumwalt East will venture away from home to square off against Troy-Buchanan at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Parkway West, they will face off against Marquette at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Longhorns' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
