Baseball Recap: Cascade Wins Going Away Against Monticello

While Cascade put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Monticello. The Cougars blew past the Panthers 10-0. Considering the Cougars have won four games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cascade is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Monticello, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Looking ahead, Cascade will be playing in front of their home fans against Oelwein at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monticello, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-3 loss against Marquette on the 13th.
