Soccer Recap: Mankato West Takes a Loss

Mankato West lost against Faribault back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Scarlets came up short against the Falcons, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, Mankato West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota soccer rankings (they are ranked 121st, while Faribault are ranked 28th).

Mankato West has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Faribault, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Mankato West nor Faribault have any future games scheduled.
