Volleyball Recap: Amplus Academy Takes a Loss

Amplus Academy lost against Spring Valley back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Archers fell 3-1 to the Grizzlies. The Archers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Amplus Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 23-25, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why Amplus Academy lost, don't look at Paul Costa. Despite the final result, he had 26 digs. With that strong performance, Costa is now averaging an impressive 10.4 digs per game. Benjamin Hulet also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Amplus Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Spring Valley, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-12.

Amplus Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Clark on the 22nd. As for Spring Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Del Sol on the 22nd.
