Volleyball Recap: Halstead Dragons vs. Nemaha Central Thunder
With a playoff game on the line, Halstead rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Nemaha Central Thunder. The Dragons are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.
The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22.
Bailey Bernal paced Halstead's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bernal got some help from
Dalaina Schutte and her 27 assists.
Halstead's victory bumped their record up to 43-2. As for Nemaha Central, their loss dropped their record down to 42-7.
