Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grundy). They put the hurt on the Council Cobras with a sharp 23-3 victory on Thursday. The Golden Wave haven't had any issues with the Cobras recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Talan Hall, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Logan Mullins, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Hall wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Grundy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Grundy now has a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Grundy will host Montcalm at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Council, they will head out on the road to take on Northwood at 5:00 p.m. on the 11th.
