Volleyball Recap: Capistrano Valley Christian Comes Up Short

Capistrano Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Foothill Knights. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Capistrano Valley Christian took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Capistrano Valley Christian still got an impressive performance from Joy Carney, who had 22 digs and one assist. McKenzie Meserve was another key player, getting seven digs and two aces.

Capistrano Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-10-1. As for Foothill, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Capistrano Valley Christian will head out to face off against Mission Viejo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Foothill, they will venture away from home to take on St. Margaret's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
