Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Exeter

Exeter waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Wheaton Bulldogs with a sharp 8-2 victory. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Exeter's win bumped their record up to 10-6-1. As for Wheaton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Exeter will host Lockwood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lockwood's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Exeter's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wheaton, they will be playing at home against New Heights Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.5 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
