Baseball Recap: Hallsville Takes a Loss

Hallsville had lost 12 straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 4-23 to make it 13. They came up short against the Eldon Mustangs, falling 11-4. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

As for Eldon, they now have a winning record of 15-14. The win made it back-to-back victories for they.

For Eldon's part, Colten Bashore made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bashore was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Braden Bk Bennett was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kole Evers, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hallsville will host Kirksville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eldon, they will be playing at home against Sacred Heart at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
