The St. Patrick Shamrocks will take on the Von Steuben Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Patrick has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
St. Patrick is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They lost 14-3 to DePaul College Prep.

St. Patrick got a good showing from Joseph Rivera, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Rivera has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, St. Patrick saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elias Alvarado, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Von Steuben earned a 10-5 victory over Maine East on Saturday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Blue Demons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Christian Kobayashi was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Axel Rivera, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Von Steuben always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maine East only posted an OBP of .382.
Von Steuben's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for St. Patrick, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. St. Patrick hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Von Steuben struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
St. Patrick skirted past Von Steuben 3-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Does St. Patrick have another victory up their sleeve, or will Von Steuben turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
